Bad company does corrupt good character.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Recognize these words of wisdom? Believe it or not, this insight comes directly from the Bible. Indeed, First Corinthians 15 and 33 advises us to not be deceived or misled, because bad company corrupts good character. I want to talk about this, not as a preacher, but as a criminal defense attorney. I have been a practicing defense attorney for 20 years this November, and have seen this statement prove itself true repeatedly. However, you do not need to be an attorney to know that if you hang out with knuckleheads, you get a knucklehead award.<\/p>\n<p>If you associate with individuals who are engaging in criminal activity, there is a good chance that you will become a criminal. If you associate with individuals who are committing felonies, there is a good chance that you might become a convicted felon. Bad company corrupts good character. Be very careful with who you choose to hang around because I have seen it time and time again. If you are around folks who are doing bad things, there is a good chance you may find yourself on the wrong end of a criminal charge. At the risk of losing your freedom, all because you chose to surround yourself with the wrong people.<\/p>\n<p>Do not be deceived, do not be misled.
